Elitch Gardens, and yes we have been here many times (we keep annual passes) This place is a must do in Denver, close to home, tons of rides, good coasters, awesome water park, and with annual passes we can go anytime.***
3.
Waterworld, we may have passes to Elitch but that doesn't mean we dont want to check ot more water parks, with the heat of summer we are excited to try this place out sometime.
5.
US Mint, the US mint is downtown and they offer daily free tours. I think this would be a fun family activity.
7.
Del Mar, One of the nice things about Colorado is some things are cheaper than you'd expect. Del Mar is actually a local rec center with an out door water park that includes several large water slides, a spray park and kids slides, as well of pools (of course). We been here but Donovan has been asking to return, the best part is because it's a rec center it's les than 30 bucks for our whole family to visit for a day!***
9.
Lake Side Amusement, This place is an older amusement park, and by older i mean, rollar coaster stops with shear human power and force. But it's on a lake so it's beautiful, and it has tons of rides for younger kids, and with groupon its super cheap to take the kids for an day with all day bands.***
12.
Dinosaur Ridge, Athena loves Dinosaurs so this place has been on my list awhile. You guessed it, it's all about dinosaurs. Fossils, trails, exhibits and kid activities as well.
14.
Glenwood Caverns, located across the way from the Hot Springs, this place hosts a tram, cave tours and several rides .
16.
Hammond's Candy, This candy store downtown also is a candy factory that offers free factory tours daily, and samples. I have a feeling this will be a tour with a hit for the kids.
18.
Botanic Gardens, I've passed this many times on the way to ther city attractions but with the exception of Brandon and Athena (who had a field trip there) we haven't seen it. I've heard really good things and would love to do the holiday lights there next year as well.
20.
Georgetown Loop Railroad, this is an open air scenic trainride.
22.
Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site. One of the nice things about Colorado is that there is no lack of cool historic sites. This one is an Adobe styled Fur trading post from 1840.There are both guided and self guided tours, wagon rides, trials etc.
26.
Tiny Town RailRoad, this is a town made of child size buildings with a steam engine that gives rides through the town.
28.

30.
Denver Museum of Nature and Science, This place is three stories large. It has really great exhibits for space, rocks/minerals, Egyptian artifacts, Dinosaurs, play areas for the kids including water play, and digging for dinosaur bones as well as several other things. We've been several times and it never gets old. ***
32.
Garden of the God's, is a state park (i could be wrong it might be national) that we have yet to visit. However it's a short (1 hour) drive to down in the Springs (Colorado). The pictures look amazing and i have been advised by a lot of locals it has to be visited!

Captain Zip Line Adventure tours, the name says it all
8.
Lava island, Indoor playground to the extreme been on my list quite awhile but lucky Kira just got a birthday invite to a party here
10.
Pirate Cove, we have 300 sunny days a year, so yep another water park, this one is less than 30 min. from home like so many others. I have been advised by locals this is a good water park for kids, with shorter hieight restrictions on a lot of the water slides.
11.
Monkey Bizness, This place we finally visited a few months back, it's like a pump it up but with additional toys and games. This place for an all day pass (which you can come and go with) is just over 20 bucks for all our kids, and every 6 entries gets you a free one, so each two visits earns us a free admission!***
13.
Apex Center, this is another community rec style center. However it has a huge indoor water park, and a huge indoor park. Just under $50 to get our whole family in for a day isn't too bad, it all has an ice rink and just about any indoor sports center you can think of.
15.
Kid Space, This place is like an indoor STEM playground. It's a cross between a science center and playground, but also has a planetarium and VR
17.
Denver Art Museum, what is there to say it's the art museum, though most of us haven't seen it yet, Kira had a field trip there last year and really enjoyed it.
19.
Monster Mini Golf, We actually went to this place about a year ago, it's pretty cool, it has an arcade and an indoor mini golf that is done in black lights. The mini golf proved too long of a course with the kids but i would enjoy going back with just Brandon.***
21.
Wild Animal Sancuary, Located about 45 miles outside of the city this place is not quite as fancy as the zoo, but offers more oppertunity to see animals in an open environment.
23.
Pacific Ocean Marketplace, most easily described as the Uwajimaya of Denver. Also the freshest seafood from what i have heard in the state.
25.
SeaQuest, is a local aquarium in the area that offers a ton of different animal encounters.

Broken Shovels Farm, is a farm animal sanctuary for retired farm animals. They also have home cats that are deamed unadoptable. You can visit and feed and pet the animals.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, voted #6 best zoo in North America, is located in Colorado Springs and is a zoo on a mountain with beautiful views.

33.
Children's Museum (Marisco Campus), located in Denver across the river from Elitch Garden's, and next door too the Aquarium. this Children's museum is several stories and the best we've visited, it also has a huge outdoor play space. We are currently members.***
