At the beginning of 2021, I thought to myself i wonder who my fathers father was? I'm not sure why it popped into my  head at that moment but i couldn't shake it. The first thing i thought was, well if i can find his birth certificate it should be pretty easy to find out. That was the beginning of my ancestry journey. I had studied my ancestry before but it was back in high school, and this feels more like the beginning because it was a personal curiosity and desire to study it that made me begin again.

In the few short months i have been working on my ancestry i have added a couple thousand relatives to my family tree, and personally connected with several family members i either didn't know i had, or had never actually met or spoken to before.

My ultimate goal is to find out the history on my fathers side, he passed before i was old enough to remember so I've always been fascinated by his side. But i also want a good tree and solid info and stories to pass down to my children. Famous people, and family stories are on both side of my family tree, so i don't intend to only focus on my father, but my mothers side as well.

I have also started the difficult process of trying to work on my  husbands tree as well. DNA will also help us make lost connections.  I've created this page to share my ancestry adventure. My ancestry blog is located below.
